Any hand drummers here?

Anyone play hand drums? Bongos, congas, african drums, indian stuff? I just got an udu and am having a good laugh. Need to know some good exercises and practices to get my dexterity and stamina up. Im especially interested to hear from anyone playing anything clay based cos my hands are caning after practising. Its almost like deep bruising but its not visible, does anyone else get this?

All serious percussionists seem to have fucked up their hands tbh.

Either it's nerve damage, clotted or callused to the point of becoming wooden hands.

I have 3 djembes and some congos.
I have used my percussion in some of my tunes.

Yea I mean drums are not that different from each other I guess. Its all just bashing things at the end of the day
