yeah .. just so it doesn't have any of the initial *clack* left..
You could just cut it off temporarily ofcourse.
The important bit is just listening to the decay from the snare soloed on top of the bass and then setting the subs level.

I can explain it further, but it's one of those where doing it makes more sence.
