Berlin 24/25/26 Oct – Any recommendations?

Post by onezero155 » Mon Oct 15, 2007 1:52 pm

The missus and I are heading to Berlin for the nights of 24, 25 & 26 October, just wondering if anyone knows of any cool nights happening? Have checked the events page but nothing listed as yet, any recommendations on any kind of clubs/bars/squats/livingrooms/bus stops that people on here think are worth checking out would be much appreciated.

Danke

ps I know Freak Camp is the weekend before - We should have timed the visit better of course!!!

Definitely go to Panoramabar on Friday, 26th. Program looks decent on that night and the club as such is simply legendary and super fun to rave your ass off at (best go after 6 am). Shame your stay does not include Saturday as on that night you could get a glimpse at what Techno heaven might look like (at Berghain).

On 25th I'd definitely go to Weekend as Zander VT are playing that night and I heard their sets are just amazing. Imagine partying to somewhat ravey House (old and new) in a club on the 14th floor of a building in the middle of Berlin. Really nice.

Of course I realise those are all non-Dubstep events but I still highly recommend them. Have fun!

if you look on a map and find 'rosenthaler strabe' neer 'hackescher market' station , follow that away from the station (arches) , you'll pass a trainer store on you're right ... keep on past that (there are a few good bars around there) about 1000m down on you're right hand side look out for a very large gate / entrance to a courtyard , there is a squat / community thing there ... ill/legal bars , clubs , art space . Once in the courtyard you will see the bars .. also go into the buildings .. graffed up stairs .. there a couple of club / bar / coffee shop type places . No english / americans either which is pretty dope .

...... Also , keep an eye out for the 'shopping guide' magazine , they're free in clothes shops .. gives you a real insight to the different areas .

..... Sorry about the description but it's well worth finding if you're into that type of stuff !!!!!

Come to think of it, the best piece of advice would probably be to go to Hardwax and check their flyers. They usually promote Dubstep parties amongst others.

Cheers Feebles & Felis, some wicked info thanks.

Shame I am only going for a few days, so looking to make the most of the short period of time there. Definately up for going out on the Friday and partying all night and morning until getting my flight back home on Saturday afternoon - Panoramabar looks wicked. Plus your info is cool Felis mate, definately going to try and check that out as sounds cool as fuck!

if you go down the road hardwax is on (paul lincke) on the other side of the canal, there's a massive turkish market a couple of times a week - really good stuff there

Cheers man. I'll definately be visiting Hardwax and I am staying not too far away from there anyway, so will keep my eyes peeled!
