Probably still be better than Tina Turner thunderdome
Well yes, when it still has George Miller as screenwriter/director I'd say it has a pretty good shot at being good. Also, as far as I know it's not a reboot.

I personally think it looks awesome, so I'm optimistic. It could end up being crap though.

absolutely amazing, soundtrack and animation is top-notch. One of the last scenes paired with the music is heart-wrenching shit.

Enjoyed this, it felt rather short, but really great atmosphere and scenery.

Overall, I liked it. End before the paintings became a bit of an endurance test though.

there are interviews where Tarkovsky talks about how he started off as a poet and with that end sequence i think its really those poetic roots coming through , showing romanticized versions of the story he just told. the soundtrack at that point is just immense
but man, the whole jester sequence: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jbr5aL9me6g :U: the beginning is genius too, i would even say in some ways this movie is better than Stalker

finally saw The Seventh Seal. good shit, Death was hilarious :cornlol: gotta say though leyenda, i prefer Ordet. i realize this has a more believable story, but Ordet was just so simple but at the same time also just as ambitious, if not more

Down by Law, Jim Jarmusch. beautiful shots, great soundtrack, brilliant dialogue, a white pimp who actually pulls it off AND Tom Waits :corndance: highly recommended

also saw Moment of Innocence by Makhmalbaff. is a slow movie, but its content is easily the densest out of all 3 of these films, even denser than the Bergman in certain ways. great movie to watch for some food for thought on ideas of morality, whether anyone is really right or wrong

That's fair enough, I am a bit of a sucker for Bergman so probably biased :P

Yeah big up Jesus for dying for our sins and netting us a public holiday in the process.

Also, hot cross buns.

The Paperboy

Hated it. Bordering on the camp, with a shitty predictable story. Seemed to go on forever even though it was only 1h45m long. Not even McConaugod could save it.

Not sure if you're joking about McConaughey but seeing Zac Efron on the cover should have told you all you needed to know

He's improved but his history of being in garbage films is pretty impressive
