i agree this was no surprise but i wasn't expecting Maryland to have a fucking republican governor.

i might even go so far as too say that i'm happy the senate flipped. nothing was going to happen anyway without the house and this might open the door for marginal progress. additionally, look at how many seats the republicans will have to defend in the coming years. it's clear that the people who are NOT in the majority are the ones that hold the power in today's congress, because they can blame the other side and don't have much to be held accountable for. this is going to be a good thing for 2016 imo

if the gop attempts or even succeeds at repealing obamacare, impeaching obama, cutting entitlements, starting more wars, etc, and the democrats maneuver it properly, that will turn into a big win for the democrats.
