It might be true that the web indexed by Google is only like 10-20%, but that's the good bit.
Browsing with Tor is kind of like using an early dial-up connection so you can spend your
time avoiding stuff.

People I'm sure will chat about freedoms and all that but I'm guessing the main use for this thing is the downloading of copyrighted materials

Organising protests/activism in places like China... arguably enabled a lot of the Arab Spring...

The army and security services use it a lot too. It's still part-funded by the US Army, I think.








But yeah, I'm mainly just somewhat concerningly tempted to see what happens when you order 100 pills. I can't believe how long some of these guys have been clearly operating without much hassle on there... dudes with thousands of positive feedbacks all for drug deals over spans of YEARS. Any sort of p2p would be a very stupid idea indeed... entirely defeats the object.

Direct downloads would be alright, if you can find them. I can't actually remember the last time I torrented anything... always felt like you were asking to be rumbled!

i read a book once that said the following about surviving in jail:

when you get in, some hard mofos are gonna ask you to hand over your food, do them a favour or w/e and then youre supposed to just refuse. Then youll get the shit kicked out of you. Then they'll probably come back to try again, and then you just refuse whatever they want of you again, so they give you a kicking once more. But after that they wont bother bc asking you is too much hassle. So basically to be safe in prison you have to take two serious beatings first.
