I upped my calories, trying to bulk a bit it's making me gain too much weight, the pack isn't as visible atm lol. I need to look more into this macro business, I eat good but I think I'm having too many carbs or something.

dude if you're putting on mass, a little belly fat is natural. It could honestly just be the extra water weight due to the extra carbs you've added to the diet. don't even worry about your weight because, well, muscle.

but if your tummy is getting flabby from actual body-fat, you could add some more anaerobic cardio into the regimen

I never have more than 3200, now it's usually ~3000, I think the bulk is pretty clean, around 400 of the calories are from shakes, protein during the day and casein at night if that means anything. I might just stick with it and do some more up hill walking, skipping and the odd swim. Skipping is anaerobic, right? It tires me out fast!

Creatine makes you retain some water I think, I'm taking that at the moment too so that might have something to do with it.

it's very likely water weight, maybe check your sodium levels for extra unnecessary bloat if it's bothersome

but also, try not to be an aesthete athlete; I can't see my abs as well as before, but I run twice as fast, run twice as far, and lift almost twice as much.

also, I couldn't say if skipping is anaerobic, but really you have to understand that anaerobic is *essentially* pushing your body to it's legit maximum (i don't mean, oh well i pushed real hard, I mean like you are being chased by a tiger), no one can do this for a very long period of time. they are typically done in bursts. look into high intensity interval training (HIIT) because not only is it superior at burning fat, but building muscle as well, where regular cardio has the ability to deteriorate muscle over long periods of time, which is why marathon runners have no muscle

Cheers. How long are you talking when you say 'bursts'? 1-2 minutes? 4-5?
I'll do some reading tomorrow too

I think they say anything from a few seconds, to a few minutes. If you're just starting out, don't expect to last very long sprinting, hell, I can barely all out sprint for more than 300m right now. don't be discouraged if you don't last, I can guarantee if you do it right though, you will have some nice gainz.

most important thing is to run as hard as you can, you'll see why the next morning
