It's funny how national identity shit comes out when other countries are saying the same stuff you might say. I'm not a massive patriot or anything but when I see foreign people making fun of that shit or trying to spin it in some handy political way I don't like it.

Oh sure .. I just meant the precedence it set for dealing with this kind of thing in media or like what kind of 'climate of discussion' that was possible at the time.
