I am - but I don't support the National team (there are many reasons which i wont go into) - tbh I am only concerned that our players don't get injured on international dutyDutty Yuppie wrote:I presumed you were English...Not sure how you can enjoy seeing a team with some of your players in being humiliated.forensix (mcr) wrote:hahaha I enjoyed that

agreedDutty Yuppie wrote:It's a tough job being England manager but not qualifying is unacceptable. If that's the case, he's off. I fancy Mourinho as manager!
pay him what they paid sven and let the results follow -
he may regret the lack of english players he developed in the chelsea squad though!

I'd prefer an English manager but we don't seem to have many options and I think Mourinho at least has the ability to deal with the press (although this would be the next level).
I think he'd give a damn good press conference too.

Bye. I've changed my password and left the boards...Too much time on here and not enough work being done.

what a surprise
1998
2000Many supporters and journalists blamed David Beckham for England's elimination and he became the target of criticism and abuse, including the hanging of an effigy outside a London pub, and the Daily Mirror printing a dartboard with a picture of him centred on the bullseye. Beckham also received death threats after the World Cup
2006Keegan played Neville at left back in Euro 2000; Neville received criticism and a large proportion of blame for England's exit, when he committed a late foul which led to a penalty for Romania which they scored to win the match.
shall i continue? The Sun published a dart board with a picture of Ronaldo as the bull's-eye in a similar fashion to the one made after the 1998 World Cup for David Beckham by The Daily Mirror, another English tabloid. The angry reaction in England forced Ronaldo to consider leaving United. After the incident, he told reporters that he thought he "should get out of Manchester as the circumstances are not right to keep playing there".

Please do, your bitterness is amusing me.shall i continue?
Football fans en masse and the press are stupid and always looking for a scapegoat...You can't get too wound up by it.
Look at how Lampard's being treated at the moment. I'm not getting my knickers in a twist about it.

Prepare for more bitterness.Dutty Yuppie wrote:Please do, your bitterness is amusing me.shall i continue?
Sheffield Wednesday Band
Flags on cars
People who don't give a toss about football suddenly becoming England fans every 2 years
Shit football
Pathetic hooligans embarassing our country
playing every game from now in London even though they are a NATIONAL team
I can't bring myself to cheer on any of the following players
Ashley Cole, Joe Cole, Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard, Micah Richards
(although I can cheer on Paul Robinsons awful goalkeeping)

You may have your reasons for not following the national team but actually revelling in their defeat makes you a bit of a tit.
You look at the game so two dimensionally you can't even appreciate the great talent that we have in Micah Richards because he plays for the Blue half of Manchester.

I'm not patriotic about our football team particularly, always club before country. The national side is dire, shit football, plus generally english fans are twats, listening to them bark on about how great Owen used to be blah blah bollocks. And always blaming the lack of English talent on the inclusion of foriegners
Its cos the coaching infrastructure is backwards you daily mail reading pricks.
