revisionism
sums it up for me
but yeah akward and it gets to the point where just the historic context itself is fetishised... and like magma said the other day.. we need to remember that fx foo fighters is just some ok drummers hobby band

A very worrying comic from that wrong generation reddit.
What is it with these people that they so often talk about either killing or beating up women that like different music? Weird foks.

that was exceptional, i am getting serious baader meinhof from that though, every youtube video i've watched has had these comments
the jokest thing is its all been like nelly and ciara, people seem to think they're artistic geniuses who never sold out purely cos the song came out before 2010 its so bizarre

I don't think that's what he was saying. I think he meant the comments were in Nelly and Ciara tracks.
the comic gives me "the feels"

bh = berceuse heroique
pretty cool label, they usually do experimental techno and house but they have this series of records where theyve re-released old tunes, this is one of those releases. they also do everything limited, and decided not to make an exception for midnight

Ah well, I've missed out on plenty of Loefah records before, one more won't hurt.

Is the low quantity releases found in dubplate culture a result of the material conditions in Jamaica during the 60s/70s? If so, should we continue this aspect of the culture when material conditions allow for high quantity releases?
