like the duality of work going on here with one doing the beats and the other initially playing the arp and later adding the live automation

not so keen on the layering bleeps from teh elektron initialy but like how it morphed into the bass noises

what is the synth they use for the arp

kit list i can make out

daw
elektron analog four
novation impule for the midi controller i think
then just the synth in the corner
mic
mixer
nanokeys
and fucking krks

not that much of a setup really

FWIW, Beacon's "The Ways We Separate" LP is one of the most massively underrated, perfect albums of the last few years IMO. Not a bad song on it - such a vibe. Great for rainy nights indoors with a lady friend.

Very nice. These guys didn't seem in too much of a hurry, just getting to jamming and taking time to communicate about what's going on. Love the flow they had going.

Always keep an eye on garage sales and shit. Ever since I scored my Juno 60 for a fraction of blue book that way, I've compulsively slowed down driving past yard/estate/etc type sales - it's paid off for others I know too (a 60's Fender Champ amp for instance.)

People - especially seniors and squares - just dun kno what the shit's about or worth.

I've honestly never really scored anything... one time found whatchamacall those things, an old recorder that recorded to wax cylinders. Escaping me right now.

But now that I'm moving to a distant land, and perhaps a less sophisticated land, and strangely, a highly musical land*, maybe I'll find the odd derelict polysynth.

*Honestly, looking at real estate, I've NEVER seen so many pianos in peoples houses. Ratio is about 1:2.
