HOWEVER, I moved house and my new local pub is right next to another Dixy Chicken. I've never had an affair, but the guilt I feel when I go to the next Dixy Chicken is similar I imagine.
there's 2 chinese takeaways about 100 foot apart just down the road from me. my brother used to deliver for one and they've always been extra nice giving me free food and knocking money off, but, the one further down the road does bigger portions and has stepped their game up recently so I buy from there. I sometimes (nearly always) swap hands carrying the bag of food so they don't see it when walking past (i feel a right weirdo doing this). the new place I go to is always much busier and is a bit depressing to see the disparity of customers between the two, especially cos the lady owner is so polite and waves. but I'm cool with it though, I always justify it by telling myself the other place doesn't even refrigerate there cans (they don't) which is a big no-no in my book so fuck em. still though, I hide the bag.
