I didn't even read the link and I already know that this is an unnecessary thread...

I like DOA, AND this site......

no genre is better than the other...

it's all about the music.

besides, since it started, we've already got like 5 new converts to the dubstep sound, and we're talkin 2 hours time... now they tell 5 people, and they tell 5 people... and they tell....
so basically what you're saying is:

there was some asinine drama on doa, and you decided to bring it here.

awesome.

you're a fucking moron. "oh look some of us post on BOTH forums so like, i'm totally telling on DOA so the other DOA members can go up in there and argue!"

dude, if people read both forums, wouldn't that mean they will *gasp* SEE IT?!?

you just came up in here trying to start trouble, and given that you're already a DOA member, perhaps you should keep your brand of bullshit over there where it belongs.

Told..... as everyone else said, leave it on DOA in future.. yeah

Don't think anyone else care mate

And whats all this converts business, can people not like both sounds?

I must admit i don't really listen as much dnb as i did (new knowledge cd is sick tho) but its not like i'm just jumpping ships to be cool... dnb / jungle, along with many other styles is what led me to dubstep 2-3 years ago and i don't forget that.. is not about choosing one or the other..

Leave the beef on DOA

I post on both and there's kool peeps on both (2001 or stfu etc). Didn't really see any beef tbh - and certainly no more than has been on here in recent history over nout. But it ain't healthy to try and ram something down peoples throats - if peeps like it they like it. They'll discover it on their own terms. Ain't about trying to convert people. The music speaks for itself. However I like a good discussion though.. ;)

dubstep seems to be a bit love it hate it. people who don't generally like it see it as a bit boring, something you need to be stoned to enjoy etc.

however those who do like it get pretty passionate about it.

fuck arguments about it though, those who are not feeling the dubstep sound are just missing out.

Melody posts on DOA... go and make a post(other than inflamitory) and watch it sink to the bottom of 400 posts about masturbation and Noisia... some people enjoy a good discussion, and it gives me a chance to flood them with good mixes--so no biggie.

drama whore is such a harsh word. I just like debates... you are free to IGNORE this, or any post.. simply set my name to IGNORE in your preferences. I'm ignoring a few people on here already ;)

maybe if i lived and breathed the internet people would get to me so much i had to utilize an ignore function.

given that it's cyberspace, and i have a life, the ignore function is a moot point.

debating is one thing, but honestly dude you can't be rollin up in here tryin to start cross board drama without someone calling you on it.

I'm not trying to start cross board drama, you twit.

I'm saying that there is some ignorance, and someone who is better educated on the history, and the happenings of DUBSTEP would be a good idea to have at DOA...

and SINCE THEN, there have been roughly 10 mixes, and even a few tracks posted over there in that thread, and I've personally had 15+PM's asking me about booking info, and where to find more mixes by the likes of Joe Nice, Skream, etc...

20 people who didn't like dubstep, they still don't like dubstep... 15 people who had never heard of dubstep are now hooked on Dubstep...

what did we lose? Nothing.

what did we gain? 15 new buyers, listeners, promotors... am I sorry for that? NO. I'm not. I'd do it again, and will do it again. I'll put out mixes, tracks and spread the word to everyone who will hear me... anyone who gives half a fuck about dubstep will be wearing it like a badge and pushing it on everyone who wants to listen... and if they don't want to listen, you still take a shot at them anyway--because you never know who will be a convert.

I'm not sorry at all, in the slightest... in fact, I'l glad I did it. I'm glad that we've had 5+ people sign up for this forum from over there, simply because I posted the address in an argument... I'm glad that someone came here from there and the first post they made was asking about "how to buy dubstep mp3's"

I think I'll be able to sleep at night knowing that a little bit of drama got over 1000 views on a forum, and is STILL at the top of that forum today... still getting views, still getting discussion, still winning new souls for our cult... thats what this shit is. It's a virus... it attacks every other sound out, takes the good, drops the bad, takes the listeners of other genres and makes them submit to the rhythm... Sorry? Not at all.

Creating cross board drama? Not at all... creating discussion... if you think that dissent and discussion automatically = drama, then perhaps you had better go back to DOA where that is the case. I personally wanted to let people know the debate was taking place so they can participate.

but given that this is Cyberspace and you have a life, shut up talking to me and go do something other than sitting on the internet and arguing with me. quit "calling me on it" and spend your time doing somethin that matters, like producing music, promoting the sound, listening to the music, talking about the music... or just go and masturbate or something..
