Are you suggesting i should have done a business degree or summin that every fucker has?
seems strange to get a chemistry degree to do though

if you were going to end up as just an accountant anyway

Nah I get mason

I'm not studying for a job, I'm studying something sort of interesting, mainly so I can postpone adulthood a couple years

Fuck am I gonna do with a social sciences degree like

I'll just end up doing some standard daily grind like the pharmacy facility or something, I just can't hack that for years and years yet so: study. Might as well choose something I kinda like

ok i understand your point now :)

it does seem somewhat defeatist to accept the almost crushing inevitabliltiy of ending up doing the 'standard daily grind' :(

Even if I wanted to be an accountant from the start which I didn't I would have still done a chemistry degree fuck being bored out my arse doing a business degree or maths. A 2.2 in chemistry will and has got me a lot further than va 2.1 in business would.

Only about half of chemistry graduates go on to do something related

I was thinking accountancy when I left uni, just because I couldn't find anything I wanted to do

Might still, couple more months and I'll be looking for a new job
