Think a better question is why have none of the dub dons have played yet? Even Wen has played but nobody like Alpha Steppa or Dubkasm have?

VIVEK
Gorgon Sound
Ishan Sound

That'd be a mad lineup.

Will make my first System appearance this year, stupid that I've not been yet.

First in and got the first vinyl :)
The levels were almost as good as I've heard System and was an all round sick night!
Kenzo Magneto VIP might have been the tune of the night for me, but so many new dubs got spun!
Was not blown away with Krust, bit of a weird choice... Om-Unit fitted in nicely a couple System's ago with that unreal jungle set, but Krust was just a complete vibe changer so just sat at the back and couldn't get too amped about it...
That forthcoming Kenzo dub sounding fierce though... can't wait for that one. Well deserved to be be pulled and edge-rolled :)

Big up man

I've always been curious though, what the hell do you do with a plate in your hand for the whole night? I personally get annoyed when I wear a jacket to a dance and cant check it in haha, can't imagine having a record in hand

I came extremely prepared. Backpack and vinyl packaging in the backpack for added protection :) Being first in meant no queue for cloakroom either...

Nah that stuff with Midnight doesn't delegitimise the entire 'limited vinyl' idea. Don't even know what these tunes are yet.

Collecting vinyl gets very stressful if you have These limited releases. When does it Come it? Will I have a Chance to get it? Always surrounded by These questions

This 100%. People been doing 300 pressings for some time now, I think some Lion Charge are close to that. People just realise now and panic buy because of the hype.

Even though the plate isn't system, if it was it would still take a couple days to sell out 300 I reckon.. unless the interweb hypes it up of course.

The internet hype before midnight stressed me out, assuming that this won't be as hyped

the number itself is not what makes it limited, it's demand that makes it limited. tempa and lion charge etc might be 300 but i've noticed that lion charge records from >6 months ago still haven't sold out yet, and not as many people are buying tempa records these days cause they release everything digitally.

but releases like Midnight or anything on System will easily sell well over 300. i'm glad it's not a System release cause that would surely cause many people to miss out. people on fb need to relax with bothering vivek or loefah etc about it cause they're only human too but at the same time people going on about "oh i'm pro-limited release cause it keeps it special" are clearly fanboying and taking "vinyl culture" too seriously and need to chill with that shit as well.

If you're gonna release a record, give everyone a chance to have it. Is it really gonna "spoil" the tune for you if you hear it once on Friday night and once on Saturday night (assuming you go to music nights twice a week)? you probably listen to it more on your ipod than you hear it "played out" in sets.
