Really looking forward to this.

The Interview - hugely overhyped, wouldn't watch again but wouldn't say it was bad.. laughed a couple times. Also, mindless comedies that are just made for laugh out loud/slapstick purposes should not be 2 hours long.
Dumb & Dumber to - enjoyed it, didn't have huge expectations so wasn't disappointed.. think if I was really looking forward to it it might have disappointed a little but certainly a worthwhile watch.
The Theory of Everything - a good film but I feel it just jumped from one major scene to another.. at the end they must have spanned about 10 years in 10 minutes.. but trying to fit Stephen Hawkings life into a 2 hour film would inevitably do that. I think its based mostly on Janes memoirs so I might give that a read, seems like the sort of thing that would suit book format a lot more. Although it was interesting and worth watching I did feel like it was a good example of how his personal life dominates over his work, people are way more interested in the 'love story' and his celebrity-like status instead of advances in science.

The Signal - pretty decent sci-fi/thriller vibe. Great camera work, the screenplay felt a bit loose at points and some scenes were overly ambiguous imo b2b some really cheesy eye rolling moments. Still a really enjoyable movie.

Mommy by Xavier Dolan is a pretty good movie. His movies are always great imo.

The Immitation Game was pretty rubbish
Some cringeworthy sappyness in that film. Also I'm sure Alan Turing IRL was not that cartoonishly Autistic.

The Interview was so overhyped. It's not any more controversial than the Kim Yong Il
gags in 30 rock. Margaret Cho would have been so much funnier too.
Enjoyable movie though.

Gone Girl - wasn't expecting much more than some overly dramatic "award bait" type flick but I actually ended up enjoying it quite a bit. Ben Afleck is a pretty poor actor tho
