In the case they left IDs in the car by accident and not on purpose, what a fail if you ask me. Still they are humans after all so mistakes happen, but fuck, doing something like that and getting caught because you left your ID card in a getaway car..... would probably shoot myself just because I would be so pissed off.

i would think the logistics to pull off something like that would take a bit more than a couple of "mentaloids who can't be counted on to think straight and get everything spot on"

but fair enough, not trying to convince anyone anyway, just voicing my (clearly unpopular) opinion
lets see how the hunt for the suspects goes, i would really like for the perps to stand trial and for a proper investigation to be done on this, but i'm not holding my breath

i guess i'm a conspiracy nut (and an antisemitic one at that)

nah I reckon anyone who can get hold of some black clothes, a few guns, and a car could pull something like this off. A bunch of fat retards could have

Yeah, I'd argue that a couple of angry dudes are probably more likely to pull something like this off. Get a gun, and you could cause havoc. Plan too much for too long and you're likely to attract attention. Could just be chatting shit of course.

What pisses me off is that right now, thousands of keyboard warriors who do not have a clue about terrorrism, guns, religion, ... all of a sudden become "experts" on all those subjects. And with their expertise and knowledge it's just *so* obvious that there's something more going on. For some reason they just want to see conspiracies everywhere.

Yes, I know, there's fishy bullshit going on every level in today's world. But I'd rather wait for a full official investigation, and more factual reports before I start spewing bullshit preliminary conclusions on the internet.

My post wasn't a jab at you btw.
Tbf and this will come across conspiracy theorist but you can't really trust official investigations to the fullest can you? I'm not saying they will do it but I am saying they have done it in the past, history is full of such acts. Just saying (really don't think this will be the case here). It's farfetched but you can't rule anything out.
The main reason these passports irk me is because it was a very organised attack (apart from entering the wrong building but even ppl surrounding their HQ's didn't know Hebdo was located there).

(pls don't get me wrong guys I'm just saying there's a possibility and we shouldn't rule things out)

edit; whomever is saying anyone could've done it is talking jibberish these were AK47's just look at the spray pattern on the one car clearly trained :/

thats a joke^

This is tragic and will shake society but we're talking what, 12, 13 killed?

vs. a couple thousand on 9/11, or even vs the 80 in the 22/7 Utøya massacre here in norway

Not quite there yet, at the moment it's about paying respects and trying to catch those guys. btw to everyone going on about the ID: the one guy whose ID was found went to the police station and he was in class at the time of the attack, so it likely was a stolen car with his ID in it.

If there's a security debate once all of this has calmed down, it's gonna be a heated one: the two brothers were already condemned for fighting in Iraq in 05-06. I get the american reaction of how could the government let this happen, but France doesn't have the CIA/Homeland security apparatus and Europe is also under the supervision of the ECHR for all matters privacy... Terrorist threats don't justify searching homes or satellite monitoring as far as Strasburg goes. Which means we have to rely on repression more than prevention, but even then governments are afraid of falling into extremism themselves. It's really a complicated issue

I imagine that's what they're talking about more than numbers killed man, and I can see their point.

this was frances 9/11 same way the london bombings were the uks

number of casualties is irrelevant

its the significance of a terrorist attack in the middle of a major city that noone knew about until it was too late

but on the other hand, neither the london bombings or this did or will translate into a 13 year war in Iraq.

the london bombings were caused by the war in iraq

the bombers said it themselves in their video
I and thousands like me are forsaking everything for what we believe. Our drive and motivation doesn't come from tangible commodities that this world has to offer. Our religion is Islam, obedience to the one true God and following the footsteps of the final prophet messenger. Your democratically-elected governments continuously perpetuate atrocities against my people all over the world. And your support of them makes you directly responsible, just as I am directly responsible for protecting and avenging my Muslim brothers and sisters. Until we feel security you will be our targets and until you stop the bombing, gassing, imprisonment and torture of my people we will not stop this fight. We are at war and I am a soldier. Now you too will taste the reality of this situation.
we invaded using 9/11 as the excuse

the brits got bombed because they supported us in doing so
