between that one song., from the poppiest label and one of the poppiest songs i think there is anyway

i agree that most of its shite lol its like youre all missing the point

and also as i said before

the difference is in the people making the tunes, playing the tunes and going to the raves
different people from different musical backgrounds involved in a scene that might go somewhere interesting.
im trying to make the distinction between people involved in this and the people involved in your average student tech house night playing the same tunes over and over.
and for that reason why its interesting
i like one or two tunes. its really fun to dance to. theres a lot of energy about it with people starting up labels and nights around it. theres definitely a tight community that are part of this scene, sharing music playing eachothers tunes.
all the things needed to start an interesting musical movement. its not there yet but it might develop that way

Just because a different 'type' of person (whatever that means lol) is making the music doesnt make it different genres

ah wait are you/the journo saying that if black people make the tunes then it is cool "deep tech" but if white people make it then it is wak jackin house?

jesus christ

no thats not what im saying. im saying musically its seperated itself from jacking house (which isnt exactly a white student genre anyway)
im not saying its a genre at all. im saying its a scene. a group of djs, labels nights (like how jacking house was a scene). they all know eachother and play eachothers music.

im not the journo

im not saying its cool, im saying its different.
im saying it may become better and more interesting

all im saying is that its a scene that exists and that is seperate to whatever hannah wants or whatever gets passed as 'deep house' today

im not even saying its good. im acknowledging it lol

at what point have i said if black people make it its better? its you that came into the thread going on about race!

all I'm saying there's the good stuff with the proper 'nuum vybz et al. sounding all cool and menacing

then there's the bait stuff with the played-out, possibly pitched vocals b2b garage drums and possibly 90's rave piano.
