don't think the center hole's too big - their quality dubs outta transition and it just happens with too many dubs - a too big coincidence.
you always get your dubs cut from the same spot? or is it different dubs from different cutting houses?

edit: just saw they are all from transition.

If its its your own music that you're getting cut, do you think it has anything to do with the way your tunes start? Or something like that? (I know a few people that use transition :gunfinger: and have never had problems with cuts there)

Shure Whitelabels are fairly prone to skipping on their own already. maybe factor that in.

I got a beautiful 7" Alter Echo & E3 "Nubian Dub some months ago from Zam Zam Sounds, it's a pity the poor press, the sound is too bad, low volume and low quality, i couldn't play it on a nice sound system cause the poor quality, when i tried first time i was shock.

Mine sounds a bit low but it's not that bad. Zam Zam pressings are usually on point.

my ex bought me a copy of Joy O- Wade in that had the center sticker stuck on the actual grooves of the record rather than the middle. completely unplayable. Messy break up though and never got the reciept back :(

Think you might be unlucky. My copy of that is fine, just needs a bit of a gain boost sometimes.

The only record I have that has an especially dodgy pressing is the Goli & Ashburner - Get Up + remixes plate, which is a shame 'cos the tunes are heavy. Sounds like the cutting is too shallow or something, the frequencies aren't all quite there and there's a lot of noise.

Mine's the same. The intro to Loefah's remix of Candyfloss is absolutely piercing! Have to whack the hi freqs way down. Poison Dart is just terrible as well.
