Re: TUNA! LIVES FOREVER
ok some
FEEDBACK
@dannyfloyd
def like it lol wouldnt have showed it otherwise
really melodic maybe add some effects on the vocal drums occasionally to give it bit of movement
but def works as a little song on an album for example
@defaultuzr
yeah dig the intro right away. sounds good def more on the ambient side again
again could see some futrue garage remix lol just some dark breaks on top at some point
sb talking about architecture in the late 19th century lol
grooves nice dig this sub bassdrum combo. not 100 percent sure about alien like bass drones at 2.14
around that mark i think maybe jsut this nice crackle violin? sample combo would be enough
at this section
bring those vocals earlier i would say or show the listener somehow they might come in later really low filtered or sth
dark stuff reminds me tiny bit of this one song from the eyes wide shut tiny bit but again maybe dead can dance too just a certain vibe here
sounds close to finished
ps.: still want those stems :3 and these maybe too haah if you find the time
@nowaysj
dunno about the right away hi hats
haha yeah i think save them for later like the harshness of this beat
bit all over the place atm this lfo synth in the back might distract me
dig this 1.20 arp honestly would start this way vocoder is nice too
so yeah if i would build this one personaly would go for a way straughter approach more italo discoesc maybe bongos all this shit really make it a 80s piece you know maybe even solo ahah gated white noise snare all the stuff would love to hear a version like this
all this stuff

But that isn't my project. There are parts of that sound that really annoy me. Like the drums. But there are parts that I love. I'm a time bandit, I'm going to go back and steal what I like, and combine it with other shit I like. I don't feel any kind of need to reproduce genre conventions etc.

Re: TUNA! LIVES FOREVER
I get you. And that is what I'm doing essentially, but with more license.
I really wish I didn't lose that last song that I had for the tuna when my hd went down. It really was strong, and was pretty tight to these genre conventions. It sounded good too. Raw but controlled. My daughter got this bucket of magenta slime from her friend, and we shot this video of the slime eating her dolls, it was like a doll horror movie. The track that I wrote was the intro/background music for this doll horror movie. Was as close to perfection as I've gotten.

Re: TUNA! LIVES FOREVER
so tuna happens this week?
Re: TUNA! LIVES FOREVER
I think so. I'm at an aquarium in a wasteland, but maybe later tonight, I can render something out. I just found the box with my 4 track. Maybe iPad+4 track = Tuna?
