CD only by the looks of it...

A bit disappointing, I buy vinyl whenever I can. Of course, I'll still be buying it on CD.

Kode 9's not shy of putting stuff out on vinyl. I'm sure there is a good reason for going the cd only route.

I might get some stuff off it cut too. :C:

If you're so concerned about vinyl, start a label and put thousands of quid into the scene yourselves.

We all love vinyl, but there's no need to be so fucking rude and unsupportive when stuff gets released on CD. Enough music goes unreleased as it is, so telling people to "get the fuck out" when music gets released on a different format is insane.

right. cos that is forward thinking.

this cd is going to cross over and reach many different people, people who would never by vinyl but should they be denied the right to purchase, listen and enjoy it? hopefully hyperdub will make a bit of money off this release and this money will no doubt be used for future hyperdub projects.

think, or get the fuck out, basically ;)

get the fuck out of where exactly? The scene? If so, then lets hereby declare that there's a new genre, call it 'X'-step, set up 'X'-step forum, let everyone there talk about why 'X'-step isn't dubstep, split a million unimportant hairs...etc etc... in the meantime, anyone who cares about music will be happily listening to one of the inspirational bits of music i've heard recently....

At the end of the day, i'd rather have burial's music on a fucking betamax only release than not have it at all...

Three cheers for taking my post literally. "Vinyl or get the fuck out" was to merely express my high demand and love for vinyl, rather than discrediting other formats. I love CD's, and I'm sure to purchase this one, but vinyl is the grand daddy for me personally when it comes to choosing which format I want my music in. If I had my own way I'd like to see all formats for all release', to cater for all people... but I know we're not living on planet-everything. 8)

your comment does lack a bit of clarity if that's what you meant. i agree; if everything was released across all formats it would be a perfect world.

:o :o :o

right, lets throw the cat amoungst the pigeons... i have a sneaking suspicion that the album might sound better on a cd... (hides...)... i dunno if, say, the fire crackles in the background would come across as crisply... i know vinyl typically adds something, but this might be an exception...
