Hubb, are you disturbed/annoyed that asian girls seem to be used as such aesthetic objects? Like...sexy looking girl smoking cigarette in black and white has about 6 aesthetic points, asian sexy looking girl smoking cigarette stacks up a whopping 10 aesthetic points

I respond to that shit to obviously but it's a bit weird isn't it.

huh?

I'm not completely sure what this relates too, but what I can say, is that theres that minimalist aesthetic in japanese culture because of the combination of shinjo and buddihism and that is often times somehow really appealing to specific people.
Not just the ritualistic side of it that makes peole feel important, but also that it's mostly form. There's not a whole lot of depth or things getting in the way.

This is not meant as a slight or anything, but I reckon it's easy to like, if not convenient because of how 'neat' it is.

Like if something is simple, it could and should be about function imo, not unlike bauhaus and that logic and not so much about just being neat, clean or eugggh in-offensive. So in that sense, it's for people that are easily upset and can't handle something organic. But that's in part the whole minimal discussion.

Tentacle rape and all that stuff (all from the 80s that was like their sixties btw) is obviously a reaction to all that, but despite how interesting some of that stuff also is ( incl. the whole sexual domination, role playing etc) it's pretty weird (no actually fucking weird :6: ) to have that as the sort of balancing principle or as the other side in like a western dualistic logic.
But I guess that is the problem, looking at it through our eyes.

But as a culture they tend to have to represent the animalistic side of anything human, by way of introducing a proxy. They can't have the person represent the animal side, so they invent a friendly monster or something. It's another side of being dominated as much.

There's also this point which is harder to formulate, but it's like we respect their economy so much, that we culturally excuse the way they treat women (and kids in school tbh), both in our and their context. We can import 'women' with less authority in the concept of self, because they are not from one of those poor civilisations. Then again if that 'free's them then fine. We have room.

Maybe I should call racist on that post a bit.
Because in a way it's a bit prejudiced to give all that weight to the reactionairy culture just because I think bits of that whole tentacle rape ting is sort of fun and exotic

I mean there's no way they can completely escape it. But they also eat more seafood.

Oh and yeah shinto*
