IMO any sort of empowerment of an ethnic identity in media etc is at best a necessary temporary stepping stone (because things are so unbalanced in society) to a stage where ethnic identity is non existent.

but ofc that stage will never happen unless it's natural for ethnic identity to not exist. So probably there needs to be a mixing of people geographically everywhere so that certain appearances arent tied to culture. Which will take a very long time won't it.

on one hand i think it shouldn't exist. on the other, i get that jews needed/wanted a place after ww2. but even if both sides accepted the 1947 resolutions peacefully, it probably wouldn't have stopped the conflict, considering that palestinian territories were (just like now) locked between jewish borders.
would have been more fair to divide it in half - say one side gets north, other side gets south or smth, with heavily protected borders between them imo
