still i don't buy into any kind of "jews rule the world" conspiracy. like i said i would guess that research would show that Jewish people do better in higher education compared to other ethnic groups or religions or whatever, and that's not a result of some kind of large-scale nepotism/cronyism.

i said higher up positions, anchormen and the likes are just mouthpieces... you know these 6 companies that own most of the western media (viacom, time warner, disney and i dont remember the 3 others), check out their board membersDrGatineau wrote: i think a lot of people would question whether your premise is even true. looking at the US media, most of the major tv personalities/anchors aren't Jewish, although there do seem to be more executives.
well that begs the question, why do they statistically have access to higher/better education as an ethnical group? because if you're implying thats purely on merit because they're smarter or something, thats kind of like saying that if black people are statistically less educated it's purely because they're dumber or something :/DrGatineau wrote:still i don't buy into any kind of "jews rule the world" conspiracy. like i said i would guess that research would show that Jewish people do better in higher education compared to other ethnic groups or religions or whatever, and that's not a result of some kind of large-scale nepotism/cronyism.

It's not a conspiracy at any lenght. It's fact lol wtf.
And there's nothing wrong with that. Mostly it's good for everybody because most intellectual jewish people are socially concious and educated.
If you use a guy like Richard Floridas understanding of a creative class. Like how LGBT people as a group itself is progressive in society (because of what they pose and have gone through) so are jewish people in almost every standard.
The only thing objectively wrong and very questionable is the bit about the nation of israel.
The orthodox jewishness that we know now (with the curls and specific dress)
was invented in 1898 which is incredibly young when you think about it. Which means the concervatism isn't going back like it was a feudal practise, like arabic culture for one. It's made up to protect the idea of Israel 50+ years ago.
It's not some long tradition, which is very important to realize. It's all ww2 fueled propaganda technically and absolutely populist in that sense.

Re: Post your unpopular opinions.
yeah true that, as i said Jewish people do seem to be moderately over-represented in executive positions.faultier wrote:i said higher up positions, anchormen and the likes are just mouthpieces... you know these 6 companies that own most of the western media (viacom, time warner, disney and i dont remember the 3 others), check out their board membersDrGatineau wrote: i think a lot of people would question whether your premise is even true. looking at the US media, most of the major tv personalities/anchors aren't Jewish, although there do seem to be more executives.
yep, this is the question it comes down to, and obviously nobody knows the actual answer, but i highly highly highly doubt it's massive-scale nepotism and i also don't believe that any ethnic group is fundamentally more able than any other. if those are the only two options then i think that's a false choice. as i said no one could know with certainty but it could be some kind of complicated dynamic having to do with Jewish culture and society in general, and i think that's most likely.faultier wrote:well that begs the question, why do they statistically have access to higher/better education as an ethnical group? because if you're implying thats purely on merit because they're smarter or something, thats kind of like saying that if black people are statistically less educated it's purely because they're dumber or something :/DrGatineau wrote:still i don't buy into any kind of "jews rule the world" conspiracy. like i said i would guess that research would show that Jewish people do better in higher education compared to other ethnic groups or religions or whatever, and that's not a result of some kind of large-scale nepotism/cronyism.

in comparison with black americans, the black americans are disenfranchised by conditioning
it's maybe intangible what it does to a people to have this history of being as succesful merchants, almost to a nomad level of independancy, as they've had for hundreds of years
but it's not intangible what influence this group of people has had on busyness, and structuring busyness throughout mainly european history
so if you except that in principle it's not that hard to realize where that extra footing or 'merit' comes from.
when looking at it in another scale in the context of these things, it's not crazy to say that a group of people that works on a capitalist foundation (well not foundation exactly) works better in almost any case than say having a nationalist or concervative foundation, like a country would have you have

Re: Post your unpopular opinions.
I know this is quite unpopular and I'm not trying to change anyone's mind but to be completely honest... i'm still not quite sold on Gantz and Las, being "the best in the scene" or making music that's "truest to the original sound" or whatever.
No doubt I definitely think they're both talented artists. I like many of their tunes quite a bit - Baby Face & Spry Sinister from Gantz and Las's Innamind bits (eg Witch Doctor, Your Eyes) as well as his System bits (Malfunktions, Backyard). Las's 130-ish tunes on Signal Life actually stick out to me a little more (Lowout & Liketha), but I wouldn't consider it the "best music" or "best dubstep being made right now."
They definitely make quality music and I love and appreciate that but I don's think they're any "better" or "more original sounding" than artists like Kahn/Gorgon, Ishan, Commodo, Jack Sparrow, Goth Trad, Vivek, Silkie, Kromestar, Nomine, Kaiju, Grenier, Skeptical, Thelem, and even Truth & J:Kenzo despite how unpopular they are, who are all making quality music these days imo.
Maybe I'll grow to love it though. I've found that there are several artists I didn't like at first listen or even for a while that I grew to love after time passed, so who knows.

after typing the most izan-esque google search of my life, i found that, for example, 30% of the forbes top 100 in 2010 were jewish
You could easily say the same thing about Indian people. A lot of people here complain about them taking all the doctor positions...it's usually because the way they're raised and their worth ethic.
Re: Post your unpopular opinions.
finally got round to listening to classical curves and it's not really doing it for me

Re: Post your unpopular opinions.
Tbh, not sure how unpopular that is. Most people I've spoke to about it don't seem to think much of it.
Re: Post your unpopular opinions.
i've only seen it mentioned on here quite positively (might just be that one breh that is obsessed with night slugs) and the reviews are excellent
i thought it was cool, but found he'd kinda deconstructed music a bit far for me, and couldn't find enough groove or melody to really want to listen to any of the tracks again
but i'm concerned that this means i'm a philistine
