gyro is the english version of a greek word, i mean don't they use a different alphabet even, so maybe their spelling of it is pronounced with a y, but when speaking enlgish i say gyro (actually i think there about even with mcdonalds food and never eat them, order them, or talk about them audibly)

I always thought it was Gyro because it girates 180 degrees on the spit thing!
