I just find it strange cos no body would mosh at a reggae nite or garage nite, so why dubstep????

i dont think its about telling people how or how not to dance , its just a matter of respect. im all for a bit of brocking out , but theres a difference between brocking out and "moshing" , lets be real .

brocking out is fukn jumping up and down and perhpas throwing up trigger fingerzz , throwing elbows, air guitar, whatever., heavy skanking, usually some jostling goin on

moshing is way more physical and belligerent and too offensive for me when im in a dubstep mood. dont get me wrong i brok the fuk out when bad tunes get dropped, but im not bumping into people indiscriminately while listening to dustep.

and definitely dont say to just stay away from some sort of semi designated moshpit zone . ima dance wherever i want, i have every right to get in front of the booth for a bit if i want. i dont like then getting knocked into and my beer splashed all over my shirt and getting no apology. that happened during vexd set, i dont know who it was but i thought it was kinda shitty. dont just assume you can bang into people in a crowd, of which the majority was not moshing, and not agitate people

whoops, i got the terminology wrong. i do not like moshpits, but if they want to form a circle away from everyone else then they should feel free too.

i like when everyone stands squishing each other and then the crowd pushes itself around.

I presume they were moshing to the tearout stuff.

Still "Bury the Bwoy" does have that Iron Maiden gallop to it, so it might awaken some metal gene or something
Hmm....

dun mean to cause a mash, but yes metalheads do flips and shit. and if i could i would flip everytime i was at a dub concert i would...
Moshing is just banging into people and jumping up and down isnt it?
NO... the answer is no... hit up HELLFEST in New York.. that shit aint just a bunch of knobs bangin into eachother.. some of these guys are trrained martial arts and pull some crazy shit... its more of a violent tango
thats cool man, i dont disagree...i just have always associated moshing with my previous statments...im just sayin that those guys need a better name than moshing for what they do so ignorant people like me can know the difference betweeen:
some of these guys are trrained martial arts and pull some crazy shit... its more of a violent tango
and
a bunch of knobs bangin into eachother.
unfortunately i only seem to find the latter, but ill take your word that the former is for real too.
It's called breaking.

I agree with Black Plague...I wanted to mention something about that night too (Vex'd)...it was a total turn off. It was as if a bunch of underaged fratboys were there...and to be precise, it wasn't even a...hardcore physical expression of joy to music...like "real" moshing. This was a few young guys that, even if this WAS OK behavior, sucked at it. Just pushing each other like a bunch of repressed jocks...it really bummed me out for a minute there. It was an embarassment. Granted, I get berzerk at Dub War, but if I step on someone or whatever, I'm truly sorry. I think those guys were NYU freshmen who just had no idea where they were and what they were doing! I hope the DJ's just start powering down and the MC's shame whoever's acting like and idiot at shows! I cannot reiterate enough how on this night, it wasn't an expression of dancing...it was stupidity, even if you were seeing Alice In Chains in 1994.

I like mosh pits. A lot. Nothing makes you feel more alive than going into a Punk or Industrial mosh pit and coming out a bit bloody due to spikes. I think that there's something about human contact that people yearn for. A bit of pain isn't that bad.

People should have a choice if they want to enter or not.
