no, it's the Yolanda who sang with Bugz in the Attic (mainly for their live show), and also on releases by Domu, Daz-i-Kue (from BITA), and Deekline amongst others.Jaime wrote:8. Battered ft. Yolanda
is this the same Yolanda who recorded vocals for Kevin Saunderson and Mad Mike, Jeff Mills etc for UR001??
this one and burial's untrue are definitely causing some major hype and making some waves even without hitting the market, that is definitely a great thing since we will be pleased with some fresh and big beatz and piecez for sure, its worth the waiting.
Suddenly, there was a terrible roar all around us, and the sky was full with what looked like huge bats, all swooping and screeching and diving around the car, and a voice was screaming:
Holy Jesus. What are these goddamn animals?

there is a small clip of it:ThinKing wrote:dunno, Pinchy has been specifically keeping things off the airwaves in a "too hot for radio" fashion. Personally I think it would be better left to that first home listen.LEQ wrote:4. One Blood, One Source ft Rudey Lee - Where can I hear this? Any tracks getting played on Immerse tomorrow....?

yea I'm pretty sure mate. UR001 (i assume you're talking about the Detroit techno 12") came out in 1990, whereas Yolanda Quartey was born in Bristol and is in her early 20s - I've known her for years, she used to MC down at our local jungle nites.Jaime wrote:mighten they not be one in the same?ThinKing wrote:no, it's the Yolanda who sang with Bugz in the Attic (mainly for their live show), and also on releases by Domu, Daz-i-Kue (from BITA), and Deekline amongst others.Jaime wrote:8. yes!! proven wrong, cheers - just I read on pitchfork that she brings a sort of Masters at Work vibe to the tune, so I thought it sounded like Yolanda - who appears on UR001 Livin for the Nite (one of my favourite dance records)ThinKing wrote:yea I'm pretty sure mate.
