I think they had just had enough and decided to go out on a high.Cogent wrote:Big line ups, nice vibe can't ask for more
Anyone know why they dont happen anymore?
There are rumours that long time dedbeat cohorts Base Logic and WANG will be doing a festival next year which will be on the same tip as dedbeat.

if anyone's unable to get tickets for glade i'd suggest emailing bars@caukus.com enquiring whether or not they need staff this year. a load of mates & i worked behind the bar there last year, and we did a six hour shift on the friday with the rest of the weekend free to do as we pleased. free ticket (with backstage passes), 2 free meal tokens and 2 free drinks tokens per day and a pitch in the peaceful crew/artists tents section. pretty good deal, to be honest, and working behind the bar was a good laugh, very relaxed and with constant streams of entertainment as people in various stages of muntedness came to get their drinks.
that's brilliant news about there being dubstep this year, can't wait! :]
a few dubstep sets in the liquid chill area will be fantastic - for anyone who didn't go, it was a little chillout area with a big inflatable dome and tables hammered into the ground at perfect lounging-on-your-back height.

lol, did you catch hexstatic's show? it was mental, i had a line of ket beforehand and i was completely baffled by the whole thing. i still have flashbacks of the 'these boots were made for walking' remix/video piece they played, i thought i was under attack from a giant nancy sinatra. then i tried to make my way to the front of the (completely open-plan) tent, only to crawl my way around the whole circumference of it because i thought there was a barrier set up in the middle. madness. This year, i hope to actually remember something.... was anyone else sent tripping their tits off by Squarepushers lighting rig? I swear i could see holograms. Then i thought i was in a car park.
