It's a free site where you can search the Web for sound effects and musical instrument samples (including AiFF, WAVE).

Haven't had a chance to look around much yet, but it could be good.

Been using findsounds.com for years now, love it - EXCEPT you hafta be careful, 'cause it links to sites where the sounds are copyrighted (and not just small copyrights: we're talking pro sample sites & movie studios and stuff). The Freesound project is cool because of the Creative Commons usage bit, but still requires some sleuthing to make sure the sound is really free & clear to be used commercially (if you're pressing the tune using the sound).
