Alright... a couple of things... I suggest that you all download.. YES DOWNLOAD a movie called "The Corporation"

Second of all... download a movie called "Denial Stops Here"

then download "9/11 Loose Change"

nuff said.. that explains it all.

To all those people who are saying 'but this is a music forum, why talk about politics?', navigate to the dubstep, or production, or releases sections where there is plenty music related talk going on.
I like the way this forum has developed, and I was hoping an off topic section would be added. Nice to see the obligatory Bash the US of A thread, and I believe is justified. Politics in America is merely the shadow cast by big business. The Harliburton and Texaco's of the world have a far greater influence on political decision-making than the man in the street. I think we are right to view America with fear and suspicion, after all it is the world's only remaining military superpower run by a man who actually talks to God. Great.

good point. But is it any different from reading a book or newspaper and forming an opinion on that?

well, thats a tough one.i guess it all depends on how much stock u put in the person who is in charge of the direction of said movie, book or column in a newspaper.

it wasnt really meant to be a shot on anyone here persay, i guess i am just tired of hearing people re-hashing published opinions and passing it off as their own.

i personally try to gather differing opinons on a subject before i take a stance on it, and if i dont have an educated opinion on something i generally try not to say anything.

so many people these days think they have an opinon based on what they heard on an AM talk radio show.problem is there usually is only one side presented on talk radio, whichever side the host wants to show.

anyways...blah blah.
rant over.

Marsyas... I happen to share the viewpoint with the directors of said movies... I didn't get my views FROM them, we happen to be similar is all... saves me several days of looking for info to share... and Yes, I would say they are an unbiased source... The Corporation specifically.

There is no such thing as an unbiased docomentary. Every time you edit a shot out, choose to use a particular response or ask that question in a particular way, it is based on an agenda and your own opinion. Any director who thinks they are making an objective docomentary is kidding themselves..

However much I agree with the views of The Corporation it is still delivered as a narrative with a purpose like any other edited piece of film.

Coincidently, all the points raised in The Corporation are covered in a book by Antonio Negri called 'Empire' which though being considered a kind of communist manifesto for the globalized world, it still one of the most opinion driven philosophical books ever.
