For me it's all about RAVER however, since I haven't ever been into 4/4 kick drum music, it makes me wonder what I may have been missing out on in the last few years. Is there anything anyone can think of that even REMOTELY resembles the vibes on this track? I need educationz. Thanks.
Try some Todd Edwards for previous and Pepe Braddock & A Made Up Sound for something to mix it with.

did it myself whilst washing my car, even while sleeping im listening to Untrue. HA HA
Suddenly, there was a terrible roar all around us, and the sky was full with what looked like huge bats, all swooping and screeching and diving around the car, and a voice was screaming:
Holy Jesus. What are these goddamn animals?

A1. Archangel
A2. Near Dark
B1. Homeless
B2. Shell of Light
C1. Raver
C2. Etched Headplate
D1. Untrue
D2. UK
D3. Endorphin
(that's going by which side is actually labeled as A, B, etc on the center label)

It's true that it's hard to verbalize. 'Otherworldly' seems to be the concept I keep coming back to...

From the article: "Someone, give this man a film to score."
Children of Men 2, perhaps?
"No child (apart from that one in the first film) has been born for 20 years! Only dark post-hardcore can save humankind now!"

bought the lp version and on pritty much every tune theres a slight hiss and sizzle. anyone else find this??????
might try and get another copy or prehaps it was pressed badly?!!?!?!?!?!
i think this is fully intentional mate. i was joking about saying that burial's never heard of Dolby NR
he's probably the kinda person that worries about a sound's character/timbre more than getting a perfect quality 2496 sample that's all nice and clean. a good thing imo.

and amen to the last sentence.. when I first heard Burial's music I thought 'this would be brilliant as a soundtrack'..

Yeah, the bass in seriously pleasant. Particularly like the old junge subs out of the breakdown of Untrue.

Out to Emma Warren for that, the lady who did the Benga interview for the Red Bull academy and got slagged off for it on this forum!
Respect!

yup, crossed bounderies mate - its the album that got me fully into Dubstep and when I first heard D-Nile play Broken Home out I thought it was some mad Electronica!

I challange someone to direct a video to it - Chris Cunningham anyone?

Yeah, if i'm out in the cold, the bass almost feels like it warms you up. Etched Headplate's portamento bits are genius, people slag off burial's bass, even kode9 described it as one of the least interesting things about him, but the warmth he gets is incredible. Unite still has one of my favourite basslines
