it's quite nice though when you look back through your collection and see a couple of whites breaking up the flow. It's interesting to see what tunes you 'jumped on' before they went on full release; brings a little extra something to the listening experience...

that's not to say you don't want a collection full including all artwork; man have you seen some of the sickness of the designs. The DMZ's have a proper 'rootsy' vibe to them; the tempa type is so sick; same as the hyperdub logo, planet mu,...could go on

on the e-bay ting, reckon it's each to their own, it's just like anyother shop afterall...if proffit aint in one mans pocket, it's in another...at least on e-bay there's more of a chance that the proffit is going to some gentleman/lady that will pump it right back into the scene. It's just a bit long when you really really want the benga tune from e-bay, and man's selling it for like 20 odd, which could buy you like 3/4 sick tunes...

unfair fairplay

At the end of the day its about the music, the artwork doesn't affect my decision when buying records, however its a nice touch.

I'd still rather buy a promo than wait weeks or months for a full release - most tracks take long enough to be released on promo let alone full release! lol

Promos all the way for me...but if i miss out and have to wait for the full release then the artwork and nice sleeve is an added bonus! :D

i dont know about rakin in bids...shared 3 bids each last time checked.

i personally would like to have one of both if possible.if i had to choose though defo the "official" release.more of a collecter i guess.
