give it a couple a years, I don't think Dubstep is nearly mainstream enough yet.
That said I'm not sure Big day out is the right place for the sound.

I mean I'm going to the Big day out with my girl this year to see rage etc and Dizzie and Unkle live but I'd rather dance to Dubstep in a Proper gig at night in a dark club or outside under the stars. Alot of people push n shove and are constantly in transit in the boiler room at the bdo and there is no sense of atmosphere and the whole dancefloor experiencing the set together with all the lows and highs.
One of the main reasons the boiler room oftern doesn't do much for me.
Would be good if theres something Dub gwan in auckland on that night though

Yeah I was on the lookout to see if they put any acts on this year but alas no. Still a good line-up though.. Battles were killer at East Brunswick Club in Sept & lookin forward to seeing Bjork, RATM, Dizzee & LCD.
Might see ya for a beer!

BDO had SKREAM written all over it IMO.. that would've been dope in the boiler room. but once again it's a few cash-in reunions for the drawcards and an array of overhyped bFM daytime playlist fodder to fill out the rest. still, with kool keith, carl cox, dizzee, battles and rage there's definitely enough there to keep one entertained!

yeah she got a tougher/rougher/better voice than a lot of male dancehall mcs, pots played some dubstep in the tent last year, sounded bad with bliff in hand, I'm sure someone will pull a record or 2 out at some stage

I mean.. the last few line-ups have been pretty poo, getting worse anyways...
