Keith Tenniswood does Dubstep?
Keith has a dubbed out track with a 44 beat and a halfstep snare in his Radioactiveman myspace player. The track is called Firedrive Dub and its the last track down in the player. I know theres a few fans out there so I thought I'd give a heads up. It's class.

his battant remix has quite nice sub on it, and mixes well with el bShonky wrote:Anyone know what Weatherall's up to at the moment, would love to hear him have a go at dubstep. Theme by Sabres would go down nice I think

yeah it's all about that - i remember mixing that shit in with dubstep back in the days when there weren't enough good dubstep releases out to fill a whole set!I'm just listening to the Live and Die Wrecked remix EP...random Smile
it's all about the remix ep too - one of the tracks can't remember who it's remixed by... simon someone?
F8cking mental. can't find it to listen to atm but want it all about 'nightbus to nowhere' ?
Also standardly all about 'twisty boomklart' and 'suitybloke' - my favorites off the album that followed- wicked track tittles aswell!
What does anyone think of the track though? Definate Dubstep angle to it, might be a wait before it appears on vinyl but I can imagine it slipping into a set by someone like Scuba. The beat reminds me of We Kill Soap Scum by Antipop Consortium, (44 with loud clap/snare on 3) T-Woc dropped the original (Antipop Track) in his set before N-Type and I thought it was a Dubstep remix, fitted perfect.

As far as I know just concentrating on TLS. They did 2 ropey albums recently, Wrong Meeting I & II. Fuck knows why, they could have released one good album instead.Shonky wrote:Anyone know what Weatherall's up to at the moment, would love to hear him have a go at dubstep. Still, the second one has Shack 54 on it, a DFA style punk funk disco number, possibly the best thing they've ever done.
Meh. Nothing he'll ever do with be as good as his first album. He's been using the same synth sounds for about 4 years now.ikeaboy wrote:Keith has a dubbed out track with a 44 beat and a halfstep snare in his Radioactiveman myspace player.

For sure - The albums they did on Warp are ace, especially 'Tiny Reminders'geiom wrote:some 2 lone swordsmen stuff from ages ago sounds sick mixed with dubstep -
Keith's renting studio space just round the corner from me in N16. Engineering a band that i'm good mates with...looking forward to the results.

http://www.rottersgolfclub.co.uk/blog/index.phpTaking a glimpse over Mikey Dread’s shoulder I noticed he’d included the words “…shaking off his Luddite shackles…” in a paragraph about my imminent arrival in the land of blog. Now let’s get something straight - I may have a penchant for a tailoring style that some have called Edwardian, but it doesn’t mean I yearn for a return to a romanticised past and “computems are the work of Beelzebub.”
However, by the same token, I have no longing for a romanticised future. Computers are a tool, a very powerful one granted, but a tool all the same. To many, the method of delivery is of more interest than what is actually being delivered, and modernity sprays a sheen over mediocrity. Now read on, dot dot dot.

Weatherwall is well dapper. Have seen him sporting some well funky attire. Remember a Haywire party where he was done up to the nines in golf gear...he has also pulls off the rockabilly look and the handlebar moustache rather well.

I think I'll go and watch him play @ Queens Head on Sunday night...[b]racket wrote:Weatherwall is well dapper.
I found a load of his mixes online, some old ones from 88-96 and a load of Bloodsugar ones as well. The Radio 1 Essential Mixes where he is in his Lord Sabre stage are cracking. As is the 1994 Cream mix. I never really liked his sound (as much) after he stopped working with Hugo Nicholson as his engineer.

Re: keith
Hmm. Not too sure about that. The "Bag of Blue Sparks" EP was very good, "Sticky" is one of my favourite tracks by them, but I think I preferred the earlier stuff on Emissions Audio Output, especially the 4/4 tracks on Skimming Not Swimming and Stockwell Steppas. I find myself returning to that material for repeated listening rather than the Warp releases.[b]racket wrote:For sure - The albums they did on Warp are ace, especially 'Tiny Reminders'geiom wrote:some 2 lone swordsmen stuff from ages ago sounds sick mixed with dubstep -
Anything from Double Gone Chapel onwards just isnt doing it for me. They were awful at Bloc 07 this year, to my ears...
