name and describe some bass sounds other than the wobble.

Post by triss » Wed Nov 21, 2007 1:28 pm

i know there's those reecey things from dnb. am i right to belive they're made from detuned saws? :? is that a bass specific noise though?

i swear i read somewhere somebody claiming that the "wobble" is killing dubstep. -w-

if we name and popularise some other types of bass maybe people will get excited about those and try and mimic them instead.

i quite often find myself using the 'too-loud, too fast of an attack so that it clips the waveform' bass.

or the 'it sounds like shit and turns out putting chorus on it doesn't make it sound any better' bass.

or the 'fuck it... i mean... doesn't burial just sample )EIBC ? where's that shot down on safari CD..." bass

I'm using the 'this sounds like shit, so I'm going to layer a bunch of samples in the hope that it will get better' bass.
