when and how is born
who made the first step to the dubstep era
and whaterever you want that can explain dubstep to the italian people!

ez
Wikipedia would be a great source! Don't miss it
Suddenly, there was a terrible roar all around us, and the sky was full with what looked like huge bats, all swooping and screeching and diving around the car, and a voice was screaming:
Holy Jesus. What are these goddamn animals?

imho italian ppl needs proper exposure to the sound:
radio shows, nights in proper venues on proper systems, promotion...
in one word: dedication

dnb took ages to establish itself...
jungle never been played properly anywhere...
dunno if dubstep will perform any better. hope so
(italians do have a strong "soundsystem" culture tho)

there r few italian guys truly addicted to this sound, ask relaks, simo, the firenze massive for an "italian" point of view of the dubstep story.
the macerata crew lately...
i'm into this sound since 04 so you might ask me as well :) (yes i'm from .it)

basebog.it sometimes writes about dubstep tunes (sabina = subeena?!?)
some mainstream magazine have tried to review some tunes (blow up et al).
if it's not enough then google is your friend :)

btw, which magazine you write for?

OK, I am gonna give the lowdown on Italian dubstep attitude and what I think needs to be done if it is to go ahead and be successful. It might not be what some people want to hear, but I don't really care.

Here it is: people need not to have the same attitude as those who play Drum and Bass. There needs to be no hating. There needs to be no jealousy, there needs simply to be a united energy to do great things.

If the attitude remains in Italy as with DNB that "we are the best crew, lets keep this night for ourselves and not invite anyone but guys from the UK to play", dubstep will not be a success, or it may but won't have a great feeling. That would really be a pity.

I personally have written to many of the guys who claim to be into dubstep here in Italy (I am writing in English but have been living in Milano for many years), asking them to get together and think about proposing nights, and have also invited others to play with me at nights I have set up. Many of the people I have proposed things to I haven't even met, and have I gotten a response? Nothing, not even a mail in return. Nope, nothing. That's a shame, apart from being rude. Why? I couldn't tell you.

So, if you guys want something to come of dubstep in Italy, be friendly to others. You won't make any money in dubstep anyway, its for the love of it, so don't try to just do it by yourself. Get other guys in to play. They will reciprocate.

I could continue, but I want to know what you all think first.

I will, though, give a shout out to the Milan-based B-Team, who are into the dubstep sound and have set up a great afterparty in Milan 6-December at the very nice Bitte Club where we'll be playing Dubstep--- nice one, boyz.
