ortofon elektro's. great signal, cue really well, etc, etc. apparently they're eating up my dubs, tho-- whoops! was told by a mastering engineer that if yr playing dubs, go for the shures--ortofon's are murder on 'em.
of course i learn this AFTER getting the elektros.

to be honest i think the concorde shapped needles are a bit gimiky. the thought of the 447s with their fat block and weight re-assures me they wont skip, my stanton discmaster 2s jump around the place like a fucking venga boy

sorry am i missing something.... whats the difference with using the ortofons on actual releases or timecoded vinyl... i have both serato and vinyl releases that i play. do some needles suit timecode better than others?
i currently have the basic ortofon dj needles which on the face of it seem fine!
