Blah blah Bertrand Russell. Gets wheeled out all the time. You might as well be quoting the bible at me.
Almost clichied (is thaat how you spell it? Cant be arsed checking right now) isn't it.
Grammarnazi mode: It would be "Almost cliché, isn't it?" because it's a French word and there's really no such word as 'cliched'. But since it supposedly doesn't exist, spell it how you want :)

Contakt I think we agree on almost all of what you just posted.

God exists to explain what we don't know yet, that is pretty much the end of it. We can keep going back earlier and earlier and ask more and more questions, but science at least looks for explanation rather than just saying Goddiddit.

There was actually an experiment conducted recently which showed that the basic elements that were around at the beginning of life on earth are seen to develop into amino acids and the building blocks of life under exposure to radiation duplicating the suns rays (not too sure if the science is quite right, wish I could still find the link).
Hmm....

After being forced into attending church as a child Im quite bitter about the whole thing so dont get me started.

Best thing I read "religion = cultural interpretations of the same thing"

You're right, it can't. The scientific explanation doesn't need to invoke an all powerful, perfect being that creates imperfect life on a whim.

We have a pretty good idea of how life emerged from pre-biotic states.

I try not to get involved in these sort of arguments, but I just can't help it. Basically I don't think that Dawkins goes far enough.

Religion on any level negates from any sort of reality we experience - by definition it can't add to it because its false on every level being as it is not historically accurate, socially neccessary or needed for the formation of "morals".

There is not a shread of evidence to support anything religion at large claims, and no reason whatsoever for it to be in practise today.
