Yeah, there was no established formula.

And yet there's this paradox there with the fact that when I listen to these old Bukem sets (got a load recently from 1992), a lot of the tunes on them have the same kind of vibe as each other actually. I mean, the most fresh examples of 1992 in my head are obviously these sets- even though there was variety, there were also a lot of the same sounds/vibes being used in tunes and yetthere was always the potential for individual tunes within these vibes to have something really unique about them. For instance, they had a certain consistent vibe in many of the tunes, and yet loads of the individual tunes would have one unique element that really stood out from the pack.

A paradox in a sense, and some middle of the night ramblings from me, but I think there's something within that point that is at least a tiny bit true.

Anyway, Toasty. Went off on one there.
