I was thinking of getting one of these for my 21st in a couple of weeks. I can only probably stretch to about £200, I could probably get another one in a month or two after. What do u lot think? At the moment my amp n speakers are in storage so I'm makin everythin in headphones  And my amp n speakers aren't exactly suitable for production.

I've got Tapco S5's, their very nice for 200 quid, loud as fuck and bass sounds sweet as well.

Do you get a good amount of bass out of the RP8\RP6's? If I got some would you reccomend getting a subwoofer?

Are they good for Djing through aswell?

Ahhhh the joys of bein a fool :(

yes rp is an acronym for rockit powered

It's just the model number.

I like the rockit family.
someone mentioned the tapco's - personally I dont' like them at all. they sound hollow but to each thier own.

I did not like these when I checked them in a studio. I found they did not have much bass when used alone.

I am using the Alesis mk2 which I also dont like. They are not really flat at all and have too much bass. Not too bad though for a cheap monitor.

I have spent a lot of time down at Turnkey in the enclosed room listening my CD on all the speakers they have to sell around £300-/+.

I found these to produce the best flat sound.

next I liked these.

I dont give a shit what my speakers look like:D As long as they are hitting the range I require and produce a flat sound I am happy.

the KRK top end is not that impressive either.
