I could be wrong but it doesn't look like its anything to do with DMZ. More likely to be Iration Steppas plus DJ Exodus (aka Si Scott)

Good point. I shouldn't trust thread titles.

This was going to happen this month - February, however certain things have prevented us doing so...so, we've joined forces with our friends subdub from Leeds to put on Hatcha, Rusko, Youngsta, Exodus and Spamchop on the 15th february @ the marcus garvey ballroom...

We've got an Iration Steppas Soundsystem/Misst/Exodus/Subdub event booked in for later on in the year so keep your eyes peeled...that promises to be a huge night til 5am with the usual 'exodus style' HUGE lineup and the full room!

Peace,ad.

Nice one Adam. Its good to see Notts gettin a propa dubstep night rather than just the back room at the odd DnB event. Line up looks Bad.
Still remember that night with Tes la Rok and Rusko in November.....

What do you mean? Notts has loads of good Dubstep nights. Forget Detonate.

Yeh man i remember seeing Vex'd at a futureproof some time ago last year. Didnt know it was still running as a regular night. As for Pollen i dont think i've ever been to one. Is it at Moog? I cant imagine dubstep sounding to good on that system but i'll have to get down to one to see for myself. i went down Wigflex when it was at stone and i remember a one off night he did with Caspa at that little upstairs place with the balcony but i didnt realize that was a regular either.
Whats Heavyweight Rocksteady?

Any chace you could message me some links for these nights man?

Sorry to hijack this thread, but could some one recommend a good record shop in london that specialises in the kind of dub you hear the Iration boys playing?

Futureproof has run about 5 nights since that Vex'd one - they've had some sick line-ups - Milanese, Bass Clef, Geiom, Shackleton, Appleblim, Joker, Peverelist, Atki2 - plus local boys Spamchop, Rust, Brackles, Aled etc

They also joint-hosted the dubstep room with Heavyweight Rocksteady at Detonate's big Indoor Festival in 2007 - Skream, Digital Mystikz, The Bug etc.

Just found out they've won a big grant from the National Lottery to put on a music project in Notts on 19th April - workshops with producers, lectures, performances etc.

Here's their next event...

Wigflex has been moving around a bit. But it's definately regular...

They were running a weekly night a Dogma - Spamchop etc on decks.

Think they've now settled at Igloo.

They're next event should be a big one...

Heavyweight Rocksteady is Nottinghams original Dubstep dance. Last one was Geioms album launch party at Igloo. Used to be on at the Social and before that at the Maze (where the manager pulled the plug due to excessive volume)
First night i ever went to hoping it will make a come back at some point :4:

Heavyweight Rocksteady is Geiom's night. One of the first dubstep nights in Notts.

Was originally at The Maze on Mansfield Road. They put on Loefah, Horsepower, Benga, N-type, etc.

Moved to The Social last year, were they got D1 and Pinch down. It's not regular at the minute (probably because Geiom's so busy with the album and international bookings etc). But they did put on a big knees-up for Geiom's album launch a couple of months a go...full Notts line-up - Brackles, EFA, Spamchop, Earlybird, Martin Kemp, i-line...etc.

I hope Geiom brings it back cause I've had some sick nights there.
