well, how's your system?
rumors told me the raumklang is somehow "physicaly disconnected" from the surroundings... like on some buffers or something...

well loefah in berlin. that's it. let's see if i can mobilise the dresden crew. maybe we'll show up then.

anyway! large up for making things possible in germoney

Give Thanks !!!
for this night of skanking and stepping music...
I was bombed out of my mind by the sound once again..
Big up Maxximus and the Berlin FWD cru for bringing down peaps like Loefah&Sgt. Pokkes !!
I really enjoyed the b2b before Loefah took over as well!

There was just ONE BIG problem....:
I want to hear this music 5times as loud !!!!!
So please dear FWD-massive move to a Club with a better Soundsystem and give us the full dubstepping-storm....

Blessup and see you next week for Scuba @ THCELL...

The club "Raumklang" has a nice system, but to be fair, it isn't exactly what i want when i hear Dubstep. I had the chance to hear some Loafah and Scream testpresses on a 9000W system, and if i compared it to the system in Raumklang, there is ALOT missing.

Yeah, first things first BIG UP Maxximus, Loefah and Sgt. Pokes for playing and everyone who makes this monthly event possible. Also a BIG UP for the nice reggae/dnb after Show selection.

Raumklang as location is quite nice and the sound is absolutly clear I dont take that for granted because a lot of soundsystems in Berlin clubs work over there capacity and sounding mashed (i.e. Watergate/dnb). But the sound in Raumklang really lacks of subbass.

Before I was there the first time i had some reading on their webside
Do these subwoofers really exist ? If so, is there any way to equalize them better ?
I want to hear this music 5times as loud !!!!!
No, I dont wanna hear the music that loud, I only have one pair of ears and still need them, just a little chest massage would be nice 8)

the subs are in the front of the floor, sunken into the ground a bit. imo raumklang sounds nice all nite when yer doin minimal house or techno. but music that emphasizes bass and subbass introduces a variety of problems. first off, the output completely lacks certain subbass frequencies that are simply missing out of the tunes we love (3rd choice remix could have been SOOO much better :( ). second, djs playing dubstep or similar on that rig consistently crank up the levels so high (just to -hear- the bass) that the mids and highs are uncomfortably loud, and eventually amps overheat and the whole system takes a big performance dive at some crucial point in the nite (like the headliner timeslot), after which everything sounds completely wacked and distorted. thirdly, i don't care how well that club is insulated, but there are residents probably trying to sleep directly ABOVE the place, and bass travels... not sure why anyone decided to put a club there in the first place, but imo that spot (as a club) is doomed and most definitely NOT suitable for rude music like dubstep.

yea... sorry for the rant but just had to get that out. cheers to the folks responsible for booking some great talent to berlin, but please guys... take EXTRA-special care when selecting your next location. ;)
