Do you produce for..?

Post by konkanok » Fri Jan 18, 2008 10:22 pm

I was wondering whether people produce for big sytems/hi-fis with decent bass response specifically, i.e. low subs and kicks etc.. or whether they aim towards gettin the mix to sound as full as poss on all systems but maybe havin to compromise the tune, e.g. with higher eq'd kicks

I'd guess most would produce for all sound systems, but thought i might ask about general opinion to producing tunes that can't necessarily be fully appreciated (sonically, not in terms of chest rattlin..!) unless heard on a purpose built system.. good idea? bad idea?

Your best bet is to produce for the response you get from your monitors. (if you think your monitors are accurate) Cheers. Z
