My bike, which I treat like my first born.

I love going fast through traffic, dodging cars and generally being a pain in the ass to drivers.
Fuck cars, they're rubbish.

Nice little run around in the city. I wouldn't mind one of those for playing around on. Moving to london has completely converted me to road bikes though, I used to cycle my old mountain bike around and the difference is ridiculous. Do miss being able to get airbourne and not fear that you're wheels will explode on landing.d.three wrote:

I'm all ears too, really fancy a rip on the track. Also been looking at cross-bikes/touring bikes - you can never have enough bikes eh.ytdub wrote:All this bike talk makes me want to invest in a new track bike.
Any suggestions?![]()

Yeah man, we used to fight over the green machine in kindergarten....I want one of those.kidlogic wrote:Aight, someone clear something up for me... Ive been riding for a long time, but where I grew up/rode most of the time it was all mt bikes and bmx - not too many road bikes. Is fixed exactly how it sounds? Does it freewheel or is it like that big wheel in that the pedals move if the rear wheel moves? Ive been thinking about getting one, or fixing up this mountain bike my roomate said I could have if I fixed it up. Those track bikes look dope, but I dont think my knees could handle it if I had no freewheel...
Oh, and who knows about this bad boy? Huffy just started making em again - I want an adult sized one! I would ride that shit to work everyday!

I think it really depends... There's something really awesome about fixed-gears to me. The only way I can explain it is by equating it to driving a manual compared to an automatic. You feel way more in touch with the bike and the road. There's just something about it.Wil Blaze wrote:i'm missing something i think...
why would you want a fixed gears bike? also i ain't seeing the appeal of the road/track bikes... they just look so spindly and not being able to get any air or ride through mud and shit sounds like it would suck...
to be fair i have never riden one so fuck knows...
all about the mountain bike for the long journeys and the BMX for just cruising about on...
horses for courses.... it doesn't have to be one or the otherWil Blaze wrote:i'm missing something i think...
