perk mate i think the way it affects you mentally depends more on where you are, i dunno what the weed is like over in NEPA but over here we get some seriously over strong skunk coming through, people may like the high more but it can fuck you over mentally, i don't even smoke the stuff anymore cos a. it mongs me out and b. puts me on edge a bit, however like you say the weed may not be to blame for the anxiety(everyone reacts differently), but i think a good general rule in this type of situation is to cut down or stop if you can, it may not be the root cause of the problem but it certainly won't help

your other advice was also very good, i don't get full on panic attacks but do get quite paranoid sometimes, the breathing exercises etc. are really helpful - and try not to overthink your actions, i find that when i start thinking about what i'm doing/saying too much i start to get paranoid in a similar way to how PK was saying earlier

trust mate, it ain't all that good, its not like "have a few zoots and laugh for ages with your mates weed", its more like "have a few zoots and then just sit there with nothing to say feeling really sleepy"

i rarely bun skunk now

About your points luke, very true, the skunk here is ridiculous and can cause serious mental problems, I've been off it for a good while now(well a couple of weeks) and i feel GREAT!!!

Cheifus, like has been said man, stop smoking/getting mad wae it, and excercise, get out in the fresh air more, take up some kind of class mabye to get yourself into social environments where your not used to it, and failing that go and consult a doctor....

Incidently Luke, totally off topic, sorry...but where does the term , "To bun" come from?

Smoke less of it, still have a great time when I smoke skunk. Really fun mood it puts me in, but I have noticed a little paranoia and "strange" feelings during the day which I didn’t notice before. Only smoke once/twice a week so I’d deff not like to smoke daily :o

I don’t really have anything to say on the anxiety issue, only to suggest help away from the internet. People you know well, suffer as well or health professionals.

yeah i hardly ever bun it now, partly because of i now drive (can't do that stoned - fuckin terrifying!!), and also i noticed that i was (and still do) getting really socially paranoid, everytime i meet someone new i'm always bare worried they're gonna think i'm weird, or annoying, or too loud etc. and that for some reason they are proper gonna hate me, also mood swings were getting to be a bit of a longting, kinda getting better now though on those fronts which is cool

I think if there is too much THC in your system, thats when the problems start happening. I had my first spliff in two weeks yesterday and I got no paranoia and was able to function properly, but if I continue smoking day in and day out for a few weeks I'll be mentally devistated again.

I'll be able to test this theory this evening...

been wandering how many replies this would get all day, some constructive stuff cheers...good to know i aint the only 1 lol

personnally i`m finding it hard at work at the moment, like some 1 mentioned, saying stuff to people when maybe there is no need to talk, feeling uncomfortable around certain people, always thinking of somet to say, or feeling the need to say somet..not liking silences etc etc

maybe i should of pointed out too, that i aint smoked weed for like 7-8 years, i stopped probably the last time i visited the doctor about this, who, incidently told me basically to stay off everything and did not pescribe anything which i agreed would be a good idea, well better than more drugs that could fuck u up

guerilla dood, that wasnt very good advic eu gave mate, and whoever mentioned that comin on here to talk about shit is not profitble, well i beg to differ, any advice is good, u can choose to take it then or leave it imo

I've been taking SSRIs for years and I'd say the benefits definitely outweigh the side-effects. That's just my experience though, I can't say for sure that they'd help you. Hope you start feeling better soon mate!
