Not inferior, just not as pure. All depends on what you want to use it for. There's less harmonics in a self-oscillating resonance. At least I've had better results this way.
A sine wave has no harmonics, its just the fundamental frequency.

I'm not talking about your source waveform although that will help. I'm talking about the filtering you do to it....resonances in specific frequencies.

I kind of like it when some sub notes are heavier than others. It breathes a bit of much needed life into things and breaks up the relentless monotony.

even when you've your powerfull sub... you still need to mix it right. Does it also experiences brutal in your track ?

like you always shout ... its mental ! music isnt always physics based...

how hard your subbass would be if your climax isnt that cruel it wont come that hard as you think

you can make a straight sine in a VSTi subtractive synth, and just not subtract anything (ie do not use filter, EQ ETCETCETC)

yeah i know my english isnt really good... but i mean its also about experiencing subbass. When you've a wack climax/drop but your subbass is on the good hz, it won't feel that strong.

pretty much pot luck wether your lowest note hits the sweet spot of a system, i'm a sucker for the really low stuff, like Appleblim's Fear :D
