Albino tutorial?

Post by deadly » Fri Feb 01, 2008 4:08 pm

I've RTFM, but for all the reading in the world a few 5 minute video demonstrations quickly going through the basics will probably be more useful.

I can't seem to see / find any...

I end up spending hours playing with all the various knobs (ooh err) not achieving anything or even understanding what I'm doing :?

Any tips?

Call me naive, but RTFM? Explain!

hate to say it, but fucking around with stuff till it makes sense is the best way to come up with something AWESOME. To me, at least.

Thing is, if all you do is just twiddle them knobs (no laughing), then you're never gonna fully understand them. Download a manual if you can or find something that has relevance to what you're trying to achieve.

It's all well and good playing until you get a decent sound, but understanding what you're doing and why can make an awesome sound.

Trust me...

Ha ha, YES!

Nah, what I'm saying is, if you don't understand things like LFO's, Amp Envelopes, Osc's etc etc, then you'd struggle to make sense of what you're doing when you move certain parameters. I know I struggled when I was new to all this. That's why I went to college, to learn all about it!

I aint saying you're fik or nufink! :D

They're in English you twat.

Besides, that wasn't even my point. The point was if THAT was the very first link, what else could you find if you just used the brain you were given and search for a bit.

When I searched the other day, that website came up and when I pressed play the commentary was in German? I even watched them in German hoping to work out what was going on. The links you posted are in English, which didn't show up when I searched. The end. Thanks for the link, I'll rewatch them.
