Getting a track to "stutter"

Post by stephenwconcannon » Sun Feb 17, 2008 8:40 pm

This is the track im working on

http://rapidshare.com/files/92698069/Zagreb2.mp3.html
(opinions appreciated)

Just before the drop i would like to get it so stutter or sound like its skipping, then to drop straight in. apart from something like glitch is there any other vst that can achieve this ?

Cheers[/url]

"stutter" is a little vague... and i didnt listen to the track... but you can draw in volume edits... or sample whatever you are trying to make stutter, and have it "restart" at random spots... you can also put subtle effects or modulations at different stutter points.... theres also some vocal stutter tutorials out there i cant remember where though

vst wise...

I was thinking maybe a gate... I find the gate effect on the infamous "Glitch" vst is good for what I think you are trying to do.

you could try some of the freeware gating plugins...these are the ones from my gate folder: gator_1_3.dll, mgTriggerGate.dll, SplitGate_v1.3.dll, VolumeShaper.dll...I think the volume shaper is pretty handy for that sort of thing...google em up...

anyway where's the bass in the choon? :-)

has that nice 80s soundtrack feel to it...

e, a zakaj se zove Zagreb?
