whan i was young n growing up in london, i used to have this game where i would run up n pretend to jump on pigeons...

one day i came across one that didnt have the self preservation to move out of the way..

it popped

all over my shoes...

it was quite traumatic.
haha thats truely fucked up!!

I've put birds out of their misery when i was young tho, was a bit sketchy...

I think that gif of the seagull flogging some chips has fucking ruined the poll and swung it towards those little bastards... I dare say it was a cunning pigeon in disguise

especially those black backed gulls that look like they could take on a hawk.
Those black backed gulls look like they could carry off a small pony!

You may be right, but by all means feel free to post a gif of a pigeon doing something winsome and endearing...

What a way to go, that's quite horrific. you won't catch me eating a pigeon!

Pelicans are also awesome, if quite terrifying.

Don't get me wrong, I don't wish pigeons any harm. I just find them a bit dull.

Plus they are mingan.

A bit conflicted here. Pidgeons have that urban fuck-you attitude to basically everything which I admire but seagulls seem a bit more spritely...hmmm....I'll vote pidgeon

I'm not sure if the NZ pigeons can be the same as what you have, ours don't have any sort of attitude - more like they've been lobotomised. Just bobbling around being diseased and getting run over by skateboarders occasionally.

Im sorry, but pigeons can fuck right off. So can seagulls, but at least if put back into a position where they couldnt eat trash the gulls would be able to get by. That and no one ever wrote "Johnathan Livingston Pigeon", so thats something.

Yeah, I didnt see a pigeon till I moved to California... not many can handle the Wisconsin winters. Lots of gulls though.

Pigeons purely for the swagger

I'm not a fan of either to be fair, but out of the two, pigeons have the best walk.

already voted for seagulls by the time i saw this but this would have swung it

but that's kind of what makes seaguls annoying too. right cocky shits, remember them stealing the fish off my mates fish and chips right after he'd bought it once. but i don't live near the seaside so don't have to deal with them very often, i feel for you brightoners

pigeons are mangy little shits and most of them are missing most feet and have horrible unsightly stumps that they hobble around on, which is not pleasant at all. and they always get in my way when i'm walking around town. usually moving from out of my way into my path because they're so fucking stupid

has anyone seen the pigeon mating dance btw? i got mesmerised by it when i noticed it a few summers ago. male pigeon does this weird spinning dance in a circle around the female. and they do it everywhere. saw one dancing on the top of a streetlight lol. but that's probably the only plus point for pigeons

so lesser of two evils is the seagull i'd say. their sound instantly reminds you of holidays too. and they look bad ass
