i've smeared peanut butter on my face and i'm sitting in front of my marmalade-covered speakers with some joints of ham since i have no joints of weed.

the tune is starting to sound good already.

i tend to make the bass first then build drums round it. also eq should b used makes all the diference jus mess bout wit it till it sounds right. try layering ur drums but make sure they r pitched and dont clash.

I've been pitching my kicks to sync up with my bass.
Also EQing differnt drums seems to work decent.
Been having problems with bass muding up my mixes.
These seem to be fixing it somewhat.

In addition i use extra crunchy peanut butter across my whole body.
For extra Pimp hits!

With Strawberry jam, to keep it loose.

Lets see,

Make sure and side chain your peanut butter.
Otherwise you will never score a gold record...

As far as the Ham goes, i'm vegan so tend to stay away from Ham.
Unless its a Ham smell fuming off my body from to much time in the studio and not enough time showering.
In that case, go with the Ham. It will show you the way.

Hope this helps you with your future production success!

I also apologize in advance for giving away these well kept production secrets.

Bloody hell this is a funny thread! But lets try and help the fella out eh?

If you want scarface samples, get the dvd and record them, I am assuming you know it's a film?

The best advice I can give you is to read some books on engineering and production:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sound-Engineers ... 028&sr=8-3

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Modern-Recordin ... 028&sr=8-9

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dance-Music-Man ... 26&sr=8-31

And go to the sound on sound website and Mixonline.

And for god's sake stop using peanutbutter! Nutella is better!
It moves you!

this is the nerdiest thread i've ever seen. Who the fuck cares if someone can't make wobble or whatever. I imagine the smarmy attitude of some of the people here are the reason so many people have fucked off and the "greatness" has died

Well although the core of the scene is pretty tight, there is certainly a insurgence of people that I feel no musical or intellectual affinity too.

A small part of the new wave of dubstep audience, with their false impression that because they express their every spasm on an internet forum, think they're pushing the scene forward, can sometimes put me off the scene as a whole. While I'm still involved in this music, they can fuck off.

Good question, ill try and explain.

This is possibly the most important aspect of creating them.
You must have your pimp hand selected!
Open or closed fisted, it's up to you.

Execution of the hit is everything.
So try and focus on that when making them.

Look mate, there's good threads and shit threads in every forum. And to be honest, since i've been here, the ratio between the two hasn't changed radically...

I see a few threads up the top here that are just faff and I dont give a shit, just lulz it up ya know... But along side those, there are some good threads with a few helpful tips, and just interesting reading, thoughtful posts and information sharing...

I think we just gotta chill the fuck out, and when we have something interesting to add, or an interesting topic to discuss. post her up... But all the whinging is the most boring part of the forum.

Whether its whinging about the dudes asking how to wobble, or whinging at the people whinging about the whinging peeps asking how to wobble.. Or in the case of this post. Whinging about the whingers whinging about peeps whinging about wobble whingers.

ok well to be honest I agree with you 100 percent, just that "lulz" was very easy to misconstrue. And you cannot deny that some people are extermely arrogant on this forum.
